The Esrin Sossai Quintett was founded in 2016. The band first met at the precollege of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, the constellation being more a coincidence at first place. As the time went by, they noticed that playing together was more than just having a good time at school. They started to play at Swiss grammar schools in order to promote the studies of music at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Then they slowly began to also play concerts in other venues, such as the „City Garden Hotel Zug“, „Schabernack partout variété“, „Zunfthaus Kreuz“, „El Barrio“, private venues and others. The Esrin Sossai Quintett plays mainly new interpreted jazz-standards, where latin-jazz plays an important role in their repertoire. The band also interprets the singer’s own compositions.
